Product Description

The air duct mounted probe unit allows Eaton's addressable, conventional and two-wire fire alarm system smoke detectors to be mounted in the environment of heat and air conditioning and ventilation (HVAC) ducts.

The presence of smoke in HVAC ducts is detected by sampling the airflow through the duct via two sampling tables. Inside the probe, a detector and base are mounted in a sampling chamber. The probe should be mounted on the outer surface of the duct in a low turbulence area with sample and exhaust probes passing into the duct.

The unit requires an addressable, conventional or two-wire smoke detector and a corresponding base for completeness.
